The Flex Belt vs Contour Abs Belt
How does the Contour Abs Belt compare directly with the Flex Belt Ab Toner?
Electronic muscle toning products are a very popular way of keeping your muscles in shape without doing thousands of situps or crunches, enabling you to precisely target tricky muscle groups such as your abdominals. Abs toning belts use technology that has been scientifically proven over decades by medical doctors and sports injury physiotherapists.
But which ab belt is the best? Flex Belt or Contour Abs? Does the contour abs belt really work? Find out here, as we put both to the test side by side in a direct comparison to show you which has the best features and the highest quality, to help you decide which ab toner will help you acheive your goals. The Contour Abs has to be good after all those great looking TV ads, right? Well, before you buy one read on and find out which EMS ab belt is best!
The Flex Belt
The Flexbelt is the highest quality most up to date abdominal toning belt you can buy. It’s also known as ‘Slendertone System Abs’ because it’s officially the next generation of the Slendertone Flex. Just read the ab belt reviews and you will see that more people who have used the Flexbelt have gotten far better results than those using other types of ab belts.
For $199.99, you get the Flexbelt abdominal toning belt, four gel pads, the rechargeable battery pack, extension for larger waists, carrying case, and a user’s manual.
The Flexbelt is easy to use, proven and works for everyone. You also have total peace of mind because it offers a full 60-day money back guarantee and a TWO year warranty – this alone shows that the manufacturers are very confident in their product, which is always a good sign It’s also the only ab belt that is fully FDA approved! Visit official flex belt website.
Contour Abs
The Contour Abs Belt (a.k.a. Contour Abs or Contour Core Sculpting System) is available on a ‘free trial’ for $14.95, plus four monthly recurring payments of $49.95, but doesn’t offer nearly the quality of construction and performance or ease of operation of the other belts. Since the price is nearly the same as the Flexbelt, the Flexbelt is obviously much better value for your money. Check out our comparison to see how you think the quality and features compare. After ordering, it took 22 days for the Contour Abs to arrive, which we find very bad given the time limits on the ‘free trial’. There is also once again no money back guarantee offered, and only a 1 year warranty which is of slight concern given that this ab belt is the same price as the Flexbelt! Overall we experienced much better results with the FlexBelt.

If you take your health seriously then we think it’s obvious from our comparison of the FlexBelt and Contour Abs belt, that the FlexBelt should be your choice given the benefits in quality and features. The ContourAbs is not a really bad product, and it’s very popular due to the TV infomercials but we felt it to be of much lesser quality, and poor value for money compared to the FlexBelt. There are also a lot of complaints on the internet about the Contour Abs, with reports of poor customer service and slow shipping times.
Overall, we highly recommend the FlexBelt ab toner! See for yourself, visit the official site and read the numerous positive press reviews.
If you’re thinking of buying an ab toning belt, then buy the Flex Belt today, you won’t regret it!

Good comparison, I bought a Flex Belt and I really like it, its great quality and they are a good company to deal with. My shipping was fast as well.
The belt is really effective, and I use it most days for 20-30 minutes in the evenings while I watch TV. Its certainly helped my midsection to get stronger!

Thanks for the informative comparison – my friend bought a contour ab belt, and didn’t realise they were going to keep charging him like $50 a month for 4 months for it! Their website doesn’t make it very clear what the total price is, he bought it because the price seemed real cheap.
He liked the idea of an ems toining belt but the contour belt hasn’t really worked very well from the get go, didn’t seem very good quality. I’m glad I got to have a look at my friends ab belt first, and then read your review.
I’m going to buy a flex belt right now! Thanks

I ordered the trial of the contour core abs belt last Saturday – November 7, 2009. I called them back about 30 mintues later to cancel the order because I changed my mind. That’s only 30 minutes later! They said that they could not cancel the order but that if I called Monday morning that customer service could “try” to cancel the order. I called this morning at 8 am, and they said that the order had been processed and that they can’t cancel the order. I told them I had tried to cancel two days prior and wanted my money back and further added that there was no any way that the order could have been shipped yet and that I work on computers all day long and that the order can be cancelled by someone. When I asked if the order had actually shipped yet the person would never say yes – only that it had been processed. This is all bull! This is another example of big companies trying to make a buck no matter how they can. This is customer service at its poorest. I am filing a claim with my bank to get my money back. People don’t make this company and the owner’s behind it more richer. Don’t buy this product!

The contour abs belt arrived while I was having my period–so I waited 4 days afterwards to start. I used it one, it made me spot for a week and then I had nearly uncontrollable bleeding for two days. I returned it Feb 6, 2009 and my account was charged $49.95 ten days later. They said my money would be returned when the return was credited, and so far I have not received a refund, almost a month later. People need to realize the countour is NOT FDA approved.

I have used the Flex Belt for over a month. I bought it because I wanted to see if it worked as well as the ad said, and was surprised to see it does. In the month I have used it, it has really toned my ab muscles. I have NOT regretted buying this product.

I purchased the Flex Belt about 7 weeks ago, after seeing an advertisement. It looked very good, so I decided to purchase it. My wife and I have both been using the Flex Belt for about 6 weeks now and are very pleased with the belt results and the Flex Belt customer service department. When the belt is in place and turned on, you experience a vibrating sensation that actually tightens and relaxes the core and oblique abdominals. We have both experienced a tightening of our abdominal muscles, which is visibly apparent. We are continuing to wear and use the Flex Belt daily and are looking forward to even flatter and more toned abdominal muscles.
